UPCCA to Host Three Candidate Forums for Peachtree Corners City Council Races

PEACHTREE CORNERS, Ga., (January 6, 2012 ) – The United Peachtree Corners Civic Association (UPCCA) is hosting three voter forums for the candidates who have qualified to run for elected office in the Peachtree Corners City Council races.

District One (Post 1) will be held on Monday, January 30, 2012. James Blum, a lawyer with the Atlanta firm of Beloin, Brown, Blum & Wise, LLC, will be the facilitator. District Two (Post 2) will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Bert Nasuti, former District 2 Gwinnett County Commissioner, will be the facilitator. District Three (Post 3) will be held on Monday, February 6, 2012. Gwinnett Superior Court Judge Warren Davis will be the facilitator.

All eleven At-Large candidates (Posts 4, 5, and 6) are invited to attend all three of the forums. With this particular forum configuration, voters need only attend one forum for the district in which they reside and they will be able to meet all candidates that they can potentially vote for. All forums will be held at Christ the King Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 5575 Peachtree Parkway, from 7:30 pm until 9:00 pm.

Mayor-elect Mike Mason is running unopposed. He is scheduled to attend all three forums. Voting for Peachtree Corners City Council is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, the day of the Georgia Presidential Primary.
