Entries Open For Georgia Super Senior Championship

MARIETTA, Ga. (February 9, 2011) – Entries are now being accepted for the fourth annual Georgia Super Senior Championship, which takes place April 12-13, 2011, at Cartersville Country Club. This event is open to male amateur golfers who are GSGA members and age 65 or older as of April 12.

The field will consist of the low 72 entries by USGA Handicap Index and 72 players determined by lottery. The format is 36 holes of flighted stroke play.

Last year, Spencer Sappington of Milton shot a final-round, even-par 72 to hold on to the lead and win his second Super Senior title in three years at Polo Golf and Country Club in Cumming.

Eligible players must enter through the GSGA website (www.gsga.org) by clicking the Online Registration link. The deadline for entry is Wednesday, March 23.
