Georgia Frontier Days April 29-30

Lumpkin, GA (March 17, 2010) On Thursday and Friday, April 29-30, Westville village will host Georgia Frontier Days for students to meet Hernando DeSoto, Mary Musgrove, and frontiersmen, as well as other Westville activities. This curriculum-based program will introduce students to first person interpreters portraying significant people from Georgia's early history. Students will have an opportunity to interact with the interpreters to gain a greater understanding of life during the initial settlement of the Georgia colony. 

Be sure allow time to visit the rest of Westville, have lunch at the Kiser House restaurant, and shop for educational souvenirs in the museum store.

Admission for this special educational event is $10.00 for students and adults. 

Ask about: Title I discounts Scholarships to help pay for bus transportation.
