New stores open and on the horizon at Lenox Square
Bijou, Clarks, Rockport and Sarku Japan Join the Retail Roster

ATLANTA, (March 15, 2010) – Simon Property Group’s Lenox Square, the Southeast’s premier shopping destination, introduces four new tenants for savvy shoppers this spring with the opening of Bijou, Sarku Japan Sushi Bar, Clarks and Rockport.

Bijou, a locally owned and operated boutique, has expanded its market presence with the opening of its Lenox Square location earlier this year. The boutique occupies a 900 square foot space across from Bloomingdale’s and offers a unique and awe-inspiring selection of fashion jewelry from everyday wear to stunning pieces for after work hours, parties and special occasions. The store also offers a beautiful selection of evening purses and distinctive handbags.

Clarks, slated to open this spring, will occupy the 2,500 square foot space on the mall upper level between Sunglass Hut and GapKids. Now one of the largest and most respected footwear companies in the world, Clarks England is also one of the oldest. From its humble beginnings in 1825, in the tiny English village of Street, Somerset, to a global company that manufactures and markets close to 35 million pairs of shoes a year, Clarks' commitment to comfort, quality, authenticity and individual style has remained unchanged. From career wear to weekend wear, Clarks provides men and women with comfortable, stylish footwear for nearly every occasion in their active lives.

Rockport opened its 1,200 square foot store on March 8 on the second level between Ann Taylor Loft and Mori Luggage & Gifts. The new location is the first Rockport store to open in Georgia with their new store concept, providing shoppers with 90 percent of the store’s inventory on the selling floor. This retail strategy enables sales associates to remain engaged with consumers throughout their Rockport retail experience. The store concept was launched in 2009 and has expanded to the US, Russia and Hong Kong. The Rockport Company, LLC, is a leading brand within the adidas Group corporate portfolio and the top brown shoe company in the United States. Rockport has a heritage of innovation and offers comfortable footwear for men and women worldwide. The Rockport Company, LLC, was established in the United States in 1971 and is headquartered in Canton, Massachusetts. The company currently distributes footwear to more than 70 countries. Sarku Japan has been in the Lenox Square Food Court for many years serving fresh, hot, “made-to-order” Japanese meals on the Teppanyaki griddle at Sakkio Japan. With the emergence of Sushi as a main stream food item, Sarku Japan has now extended its Japanese cuisine offerings to Lenox Square customers with the opening of its Sarku Japan Sushi Kiosk which specializes in preparing high quality “made-to-order” sushi meals and combos at food court prices.
