Rep. Tom Knox Announces Resignation as House Insurance Committee Chairman
Speaker Ralston releases statement following decision

ATLANTA (January 15, 2010) - Today Rep. Tom Knox (R-Cumming) announced his resignation as Chairman of the House Insurance Committee in order to focus on his campaign for Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner of Georgia. Speaker David Ralston released the following statement:

“I respect and support Rep. Knox’s decision. It is an important race to me and to the insurance consumers of the state of Georgia. I am excited about his candidacy for Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner and I will be working with him and supporting him on his campaign.”
