Local Fashion Designers set
to Compete at Project Expressway

Atlanta, GA (February 8, 2010) - Fans of television's "Project Runway" won't want to miss Project Expressway, a hip, new event for Atlanta, where guests can watch as three local fashion designers vie to rule the AE runway.

The designers, all Bauder College fashion graduates, will compete before celebrity judges at the benefit staged at Atlanta's newest event space, La Fais do-do, on Saturday, March 6, at 7:30 p.m.

Hosted by Actor's Express Artistic Director Freddie Ashley, in the role of Tim Gunn, and local actress Park Krausen, as co-host Heid Klum, the event will be culmination of months of work from designers Tian Justman, Sharrod Woods and Shenelle Evans, as each designs three garments for the event. Video highlights will recap the creative process and the designers personal journey to the runway, much like the television show.

Celebrity judges will include actor and restaurateur Mitchell Anderson and Holly Firfer, television and radio host. Stylist to the stars Richie Arpino will provide hairstyles for the nine models slated to take the runway.

The evening also includes cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and live and silent auctions. All funds raised at the event will directly support the dynamic, adventurous work of Actor's Express.

More details, including video interviews with the designers, a Project Expressway trailer, and tickets are available online at actors-express.com/pe. Tickets are $125 per person, $250 for a couple, and a limited number of VIP tables for 10 are available. Tickets also may be purchased by phone at 404-607-7469.

Actor's Express, now in its 22nd season, has a tradition of hosting exciting annual gala events to raise funds to support the general operating expenses of the theatre. Project Expressway promises to be one of the most entertaining and exciting events to date.
