Actions Taken by the Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors at its February 3 Meeting

Macon, Ga. (February 4, 2010) — The Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors held its meeting via conference call on Wednesday, February 3, 2010.

The Board voted to deny one general contractor license.

The Board ratified voluntary cease and desist orders for the following unlicensed practice:
Stephen Taylor, Georgetown
Michael Sullivan DBA Sullivan Home Repair, Peachtree City

The Board ratified the acceptance of the following public consent order for probationary licensure:
Michael Joseph Mallard, Statesboro: Convicted of a felony charge and sentenced to five years on probation.

The Board voted to accept the following public consent order for probationary licensure by reactivation:
Ralph Larry Daniels, Ellijay: Filed a voluntary petition for chapter 7 bankruptcy; the court entered an order discharging the debtor.

The Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors will hold its next meeting via conference call on Friday, February 5, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
