Gwinnett Braves Homestand Highlights
August 23rd – August 30th 

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA (August 19, 2010) - Final Homestand of the 2010 Season Features Fireworks, Webkinz Giveaway and Jersey Auction

Monday, August 23 – Charlotte Knights (Chicago White Sox) vs. Gwinnett Braves, 7:05 p.m. 

· Items of the Homestand – Gwinnett Braves home white and batting practice jerseys are the items of the homestand in the team store at Coolray Field. The jerseys will be sold for $90-$100, normally priced at $160-$200. Fans can also take advantage of the store’s 25% off Employee Discount sale. 

Tuesday, August 24 – Charlotte Knights vs. Gwinnett Braves, 7:05 p.m. 

· 12Stone Charity Nights – The Gwinnett Braves welcome 12Stone Church for the final 12Stone Tuesday of the season. 

· KRAFT Singles Tuesday Night Tickets – The G-Braves and KRAFT Singles have teamed up to offer fans a steal of a deal on Tuesdays! Bring your package wrapper to Coolray Field, Buy 1 Ticket and Get 1 Free from KRAFT Singles! Offer applies to Adult Baseline Box and Adult General Admission-Lawn seating. · Lawrenceville City Spotlight Night – The Gwinnett Braves host Lawrenceville on Tuesday night. Residents, businesses and organizations in Lawrenceville will receive special opportunities and ticket offers for this evening. 

Wednesday, August 25 – Charlotte Knights vs. Gwinnett Braves, 7:05 p.m. 

· Webkinz Wednesday – The first 750 kids 12 and under in attendance will receive a Bulldog Webkinz. The loveable plush pets come alive online in Webkinz World with a unique Secret Code.

· Mascot Mania – Chopper is bringing all his friends to the game! Mascots scheduled to attend include Sluggerrr (Kansas City Royals), Maximus (Gwinnett Gladiators), Harry the Hawk (Atlanta Hawks), Thrash (Atlanta Thrashers), Homer (Atlanta Braves) and Freddie Falcon (Atlanta Falcons). 

Thursday, August 26 – Durham Bulls (Tampa Bay Rays) vs. Gwinnett Braves, 7:05 p.m.

· College Night – Whether fans are barking for the Dawgs, bzzz’ing for the Jackets, doing the Gator chomp or calling out a Roll Tide, this is a game no college student or fan will want to miss. Fans can represent their favorite college at a pregame tailgate party inside the stadium and take part in special games and features for students and alumni during the game. A group ticket rate will be given to fans who present a current college ID at the box office. 

· Heineken Concert Series – Fans can enjoy a pregame concert by Steve Wayne courtesy of Heineken. 

· Close the Gap – The G-Braves and Boston Scientific will host the Close the Gap campaign to raise awareness of heart disease risk factors for Georgians. Close the Gap, an educational initiative designed to educate, equip and empower communities and individuals to reduce disparities in cardiovascular care for women, black Americans and Latino Americans, will staff an educational booth on the topic at the game.

· Buford City Spotlight Night – The Gwinnett Braves will host City Spotlight Nights on each remaining Thursday home game. Residents, businesses and organizations in Buford will receive special opportunities and ticket offers for this evening. 

· $3 Thursdays – Every Thursday game fans can purchase $3 sandwiches, snacks, beers and soft drinks the stand behind section 116 at Coolray Field. 

Friday, August 27 – Durham Bulls vs. Gwinnett Braves, 7:05 p.m.

· Gwinnett Medical Center Jersey Auction – Fans can bid to win the throwback Crackers jerseys from that night’s game right off the players’ backs. Winners will collect their jersey from their respective player following the game. All proceeds will benefit the Gwinnett Medical Center Foundation. 

· Fireworks Extravaganza – A choreographed fireworks show will follow the game. 

· 50/50 Raffle – Volunteers from the Gwinnett Medical Center Foundation will sell 50/50 Raffle Tickets. One lucky fan will go home with half of the pot, with the other half going to the Gwinnett Medical Center Foundation and the Braves Foundation.

Saturday, August 28 – Norfolk Tides (Baltimore Orioles) vs. Gwinnett Braves, 7:05 p.m.

· Baseball Card Giveaway Presented by Coolray Heating and Cooling – The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a 2010 Baseball Card set courtesy of Coolray Heating and Cooling. 

· Player Awards – The Gwinnett Braves will announce the team’s annual player award winners in a pregame ceremony. Awards include Most Valuable Player, Most Competitive Player, Community Award, Most Outstanding Pitcher and Fan Favorite. Fans may vote for the Fan Favorite on gwinnettbraves.com, all other awards are selected by the Gwinnett Braves players and coaches. 

· Tennis Toss – Following the game fans will have the chance to win prizes by throwing tennis balls to targets on the field. The tennis balls will be sold for $1 during the game. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Gwinnett Braves division of the Atlanta Braves Foundation. 

· 50/50 Raffle – Volunteers from the Children's Restoration Network will sell 50/50 Raffle Tickets. One lucky fan will go home with half of the pot, with the other half going to the Children's Restoration Network and the Braves Foundation.

Sunday, August 29 – Norfolk Tides vs. Gwinnett Braves, 2:05 p.m.

· North Georgia College & State University Day – Sunday’s game is presented by North Georgia College & State University. Students and alumni will attend the game, the university's Patriot Choir will be performing the National Anthem and the school’s Color Guard will present the U.S. and Georgia flags prior to the game.

· Gwinnett Braves Grant Presentation – G-Braves GM North Johnson and Gwinnett Daily Post Editor Todd Cline will present a metro Atlanta non-profit with the team’s first grant during an in-game presentation. The “Back to School” grant for August will be awarded to an organization that supports educational programming. 

· 10th Man of the Game – Leslie Harper, High School Counselor of the Year for Gwinnett County and Co-Department Chair at Collins Hill High School, will be honored as the game’s 10th Man in a pregame ceremony. 

· Race Around the Bases – Fans 12 and under are invited to run the bases following the game. 

· Chick-fil-A Family Toss – Families are invited to play catch in the outfield following the game. 

· Tennis Toss – Following the game fans will have the chance to win prizes by throwing tennis balls to targets on the field. The tennis balls will be sold for $1 during the game. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Gwinnett Braves division of the Atlanta Braves Foundation. 

· 50/50 Raffle – Volunteers from the Southern Hope Humane Society will sell 50/50 Raffle Tickets. One lucky fan will go home with half of the pot, with the other half going to the Southern Hope Humane Society and the Braves Foundation. 

Monday, August 30 – Norfolk Tides vs. Gwinnett Braves, 7:05 p.m.

· The Last Hurrah – Fans can enjoy food and ticket specials to celebrate the last regular season game of 2010. All Infield Box, Field Box, Baseline Box and General Admission Lawn tickets will be half off the adult price.
