November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month

MARIETTA, Georgia, (November 3, 2009) Please visit Good Mews during the month of November for Adopt a Senior Pet Month! Senior cats are often over-looked for one of their younger friends, but what most people don’t know is, senior cats can make wonderful companions! There are many benefits in sharing your life with an older pet, so please come visit our seniors and consider adopting one this month!

We will have a reduced adoption fee of $65 and a gift bag for all senior cats 7 years and older who are adopted during the month of November. Please take advantage of our 2 for the price of one which we are offering on all cats through the end of the year. Visit www.goodmews.org to view pictures and learn more about some of our senior cats.

The shelter, located at 736 Johnson Ferry Rd. Suite A-3, Marietta, will be open for adoptions between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. every Saturday and the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Good Mews Animal Foundation is a local nonprofit organization which operates a volunteer based, no-kill shelter for homeless, abused and abandoned cats. The shelter provides a cage-free environment for its residents, offering them comfort and security while assertive adoption programs find them happy, loving homes. We have a strong commitment to the practice of spaying and neutering as the most important step in reducing the pet overpopulation problem. We also promote public awareness regarding the value of pets, animal welfare and quality human-animal companionship through educational and outreach programs.

To join this growing organization, or to find out more about what you can do to help, call 770-499-CATS (2287) or visit www.goodmews.org.
