10th Annual Service Juris Event Goes Green with In-Kind Donation

Atlanta (June 25, 2009) – Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, Hands On Atlanta’s Service Juris event is going “green” thanks to a donation of 100 percent recyclable, biodegradable paint and trim trays from Earth Plastic, a division of American Trade Products based in Ball Park, Georgia. With more than 500 volunteers from the Atlanta legal community, this year’s Service Juris will take place Saturday, June 27 at The Atlanta Area School for the Deaf in Clarkston.

The school, which serves deaf and hearing-impaired youth, and students with multiple disabilities from ages 3 to 21, recently renovated and expanded its facilities due to rapidly increasing enrollment. During ServiceJuris 2009, volunteers will create a vibrant learning environment for students by filling the drab hallways with colorful, themed murals; painting classrooms in energetic colors; restoring and securing outdoor play and learning areas; and reorganizing the school’s library.

HOA is thankful to Earth Plastic for their support, and excited to incorporate ecological sustainability into their Service Juris project.
