Actions Taken by the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists at its June 12 Meeting

Macon, Ga. (June 19, 2009) — The Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists met on Friday, June 12, 2009.

The Board voted to license 11 associate professional counselors by exam waiver, one associate professional counselor by reinstatement, 23 professional counselors by exam waiver, two marriage and family therapist by exam waiver, and three clinical social workers by application.

The Board voted to deny petitions for waiver/variance requests from two individuals:
Larry E. Carter, Atlanta
Shirlean Seawood, Roswell

The Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists will hold its next meeting Friday, July 10, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Board in Macon.
