U.S. Senior Open Sectional Qualifier

Format and Schedule
A sectional qualifier for the 2009 U.S. Senior Open will be conducted by the Georgia State Golf Association on Monday, July 6. TPC Sugarloaf hosts 116 players competing over 18 holes for three spots and two alternate positions in the championship.

TPC Sugarloaf is one of 42 sectional qualifying sites which are taking place June 22 – July 7. The club’s telephone number is (770) 418-1113.

Directions to TPC Sugarloaf – I-85 N. to Exit 108/Sugarloaf Parkway. Take Sugarloaf Parkway west to Meadow Church Road, turn left. Go .3 mile to club entrance on the right.

TPC Sugarloaf will play to 7,026 yards and a par of 72.

U.S. Senior Open
The 30th U.S. Senior Open Championship will be held at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Ind., July 30 – August 2. Entries were open to any professional, or any amateur with a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 3.4, who turns 50 on or before July 30. The U.S. Senior Open is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the United States Golf Association.

Founded in 1916, the Georgia State Golf Association (GSGA) received its official charter on June 24, 1924.
