GSGA Competitions Advisory
Less Than One Week Remaining to Enter Georgia Top 60 Women’s Classic

MARIETTA, Ga. (July 1, 2009) – Entries will be closing on July 8 for the 2009 Georgia Top 60 Women’s Classic, which takes place July 29-30 at Reynolds Landing Golf Club in Greensboro. This event is open to female amateur golfers who are GSGA members and Georgia residents, with a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 15.0.

The format of the event is 36 holes of stroke play over two days. Last year, Leigh Crosby of Athens carded a final-round 77 to hold on and win by one stroke over Suwanee’s Kendall Wright. Crosby and Wright matched the tournament single-round record of 69 in the opening round to each take a share of the lead.

Qualified players must enter online at the GSGA website (www.gsga.org) by clicking the Online Registration quick link. A tournament FAQ page is also available via download as a PDF file through the GSGA website. The deadline for entries is Wednesday, July 8 at 5:00 p.m.

The entry period is also currently open for the Georgia Senior Championship (through August 5) and the GSGA Senior Women’s Championship (through August 5).

Any questions regarding GSGA competitions may be directed to the Rules and Competitions Department at 770-955-4272 or 800-949-4742, or via email at info@gsga.org.
