Ted’s Montana Grill Celebrates National Bison Month with Super Summer Giveaway
ATLANTA, (July 1, 2009) – Summer is a time to kick back, enjoy the warm weather and make fond memories with friends, family and…bison. July is National Bison Month, and to celebrate, Ted’s Montana Grill is hosting a Super Summer Giveaway now through July 17. Prizes include free food from Ted’s and the chance to win a trip for two to Montana.
Registering for Ted’s Super Summer Giveaway is so easy even a bison could do it. To enter, anyone age 18 and over can visit www.tedsmontanagrill.com and sign up to receive a free $10 gift certificate to be used toward the purchase of any two lunch or dinner entrées. Everyone who registers will be entered into a random drawing to win one of three Super Summer Giveaway prizes. Winners will be announced July 31 and notified by e-mail.

Ted’s fans who register on the Ted’s Montana Grill Web site will be entered to win one of three prizes:
One free Ted’s Montana Grill bison entrée per week for the remainder of 2009. With bison as Ted’s house specialty, the winning guest can choose from 20 different varieties of bison burgers, steaks, short ribs and even bison meatloaf.

In honor of National Bison Month, here are a few fun facts you may not know:
· The American bison is usually referred to by its more common name, buffalo, although it is only distantly related to the two true buffalo species: the African Buffalo and the Asian Buffalo.
· The bison is the largest land mammal native to the Western Hemisphere.
· Both male and female bison have horns.
· Bison are herbivores – grazing on prairie grasses.
· They may seem too large and clumsy to outrun you, but bison can run at speeds between 30 and 40 mph.
· In the 19th century, bison almost became extinct from overhunting.
· Bison is nutritious, lean, rich in iron and considered a healthy alternative to other meats.
· Bison contains less fat, cholesterol and calories than beef.
· It is estimated that there are currently about 500,000 bison in North America. In the U.S., bison are raised in every state, including Hawaii.
