Atlanta Area Gets Served by Infinite Energy Challenge
Australian Open Wild Card Tournament makes debut in Norcross
featuring tennis greats John Isner, Mardy Fish, Mike and Bob Bryan
plus world junior champs Sloane Stephens and Melanie Oudin in exhibition play

GAINESVILLE, Fla., (December 1, 2009) – What’s bringing out Georgia’s tennis-philes in droves? First: More than $1 million in renovations to the Racquet Club of the South (RCS) in Norcross, now a United States Tennis Association (USTA)-Certified Regional Training Center. Second: Top names in the sport participating in exhibition matches. Third: A lengthened event that counts, giving the top men’s and women’s winners of the tournament invitations to the 2010 Australian Open.

The Infinite Energy Atlanta Challenge begins Friday, Dec. 4, opening with Sloane Stephens, current world junior no. 6, versus former world junior no. 2, U.S. Open sensation and Georgia native, Melanie Oudin. The event also features exhibition matches with National Collegiate Athletic Association singles champion John Isner, all-around winner and hardcourt specialist Mardy Fish and Mike and Bob Bryan, the no. 1 doubles team in the world. Competitive matches begin Saturday, Dec. 5, and end Monday, Dec. 7, with one female and one male victor taking home the prized Australian Open invitations.

Providing a backdrop to the event is the Racquet Club of the South, one of the finest tennis facilities in the Atlanta area. In addition to the recently granted USTA Regional Training Center certification, the junior RCS Academy earned more national titles in 2007-2008 than any other program in the U.S. In keeping with RCS’s commitment to up-and-coming tennis youths, Infinite Energy, Inc. provided free passes to the event to select high school varsity tennis players in the Atlanta area.

“By providing passes to local teens, we’re making sure the tennis greats of tomorrow can be part of this star-studded event,” said Infinite Energy Marketing Manager Bryan Harned. “Infinite is committed to the Metro-Atlanta community and continues to seek out sponsorship of events that bring us face-to-face with current and future customers.”

The event in Norcross represents a more intimate experience than in years past, with top-notch food, crowd-focused games and autograph opportunities all provided by Infinite Energy in its third year as title sponsor. Additionally, at its booth the company will be offering special prices on natural gas service to attendees wishing to try a new natural gas provider.
