Gwinnett County property tax first installment payments due Monday, September 15

Lawrenceville, Ga., (Sept. 9, 2008) - First installment payments for Gwinnett County property taxes are due Monday, Sept. 15. Payments in full may also be made by this date, but a minimum payment of the first installment amount is required. Late payments will result in a penalty of five percent of the installment amount.

This year, taxpayers have even more options to pay their property tax:

Pay by credit card or e-check online at this website. (Convenience fees apply for credit card transactions over the Internet.)
Pay using banking information over the telephone by calling TaxTalk 24 at (770) 822-8800.
Pay at any of the five Gwinnett County Tag Offices. See office hours and locations at this website.
Pay by check and use the drop-off boxes accessible 24 hours a day at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center and at all five Gwinnett County Tag Offices.
Mail payments to the Tax Commissioner’s office at 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville, GA 30045.
Pay in person during regular business hours at the main Property Tax Office located in the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center in Lawrenceville, or at any of the five motor vehicle branch tag offices.

If you have an escrow account, your tax information has been made available to your mortgage company; however, it is your responsibility to ensure taxes are paid. If your mortgage company has recently changed, you should send a copy of your tax bill to the new company.
