New London Theatre will present "Godspell", opening February 15th, 
at 8:00 p.m.

SNELVILLE, GA (January 30, 2008) - "Godspell" one of the biggest Broadway and off-Broadway successes of all time is a musical celebration of the Gospel, with many familiar songs including the international hit, "Day by Day." 

   "Godspell" presents the joyful message of Jesus Christ. Godspell, a musical, is a series of parables, taken chiefly from the Gospel of Matthew. These are then interspersed with a variety of modern music set primarily to lyrics from traditional hymns, with the passion of Christ treated briefly near the end of performance. Godspell is the archaic Old English spelling of the word gospel and literally means good news. The hit song, "Day by Day" hit #13 on the Billboard pop singles chart in the summer of 1972. 

   "Godspell" will be performed at New London Theatre, in their brand new building at 485 East Main Street, Snellville, GA, 30078 (corner of Rt. 78 and Rt. 124) by an energetic team of highly skilled actors and singers from the Decatur, Grayson, Lawrenceville, Lilburn, & Snellville communities. The production combines compelling voices with a live band & featuring guitar. The "Godspell" troupe will share the joyous 
production on the following dates:
