Free Prostate Cancer Screenings
Across Atlanta
Second Most Deadly Cancer in Men Easily Prevented With Early Detection
ATLANTA, GA (January 11, 2008) - Nearly 6,000 men across the state of Georgia will be diagnosed with prostate cancer this year and more than 600 men will die from the disease. Despite the grim statistics if detected early, prostate cancer is one of the more treatable forms of cancer.
This month, the National Prostate Cancer Coalition (NPCC) will team up with News/Talk 750 WSB and Radiotherapy Clinics of Georgia to provide free prostate cancer screenings for men across metro Atlanta. These free screenings are some of many stops across the country for the Drive Against Prostate Cancer, an initiative to educate and screen men from coast to coast.
“One in every six men will get prostate cancer sometime in his life” said David Meszaros, Vice President/General Manager of News/Talk 750 WSB. “Screening is critical – and we’re spending the entire month of January encouraging our listeners to take advantage of these FREE screenings provided by Radiotherapy Clinics of GA.”
