The Adventure Begins Again!
Wild Adventures re-opens February 16 with new shows, new animals and Dierks Bentley
concert
Valdosta, GA (February 14, 2008) - Guests will discover a whole new year of adventures starting February 16, as Wild Adventures re-opens for the season. From baby animals greeting visitors at the front gate to the all-new VeggieTales® “Silly Song Singalong” and a concert by Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan and Bucky Covington, the park will be abuzz with excitement.
“Guest will find more interactive experiences at the park this year, especially involving our animals,” says Bob Montgomery, General Manager. “Guests will also see the animals coming out into the park for a much more personal encounter, rather than just viewing them in an exhibit.”
Each morning for the next several weeks, as guests enter the park, they will have the opportunity to meet the park’s newest residents, six to seven week old baby wolves. Wild Adventures will introduce the cuddly creatures, providing park goers with a hands-on experience to see, touch, and even learn a little bit about these unique animals. This “Meet the Babies” show is just a glimpse of the animals that have found a new home at Wild Adventures, including cougars and a Fennec Fox.
Not only will there be new animals, but the shows feature a new adventure, too. The new VeggieTales® theater will house the park’s newest show, VeggieTales® “Silly Song Singalong.” Kids of all ages will delight in this production featuring Larry the cucumber, Bob the tomato and the entire VeggieTales bunch. Their comical lyrics and wacky tunes will have guests out of their seats, singing and dancing along with the famous vegetable cast. The characters will also be available for meet & greets throughout the day.
The park kicks off the Spring Concert Series with Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan and Bucky Covington taking center stage at the All-Star Amphitheater starting at 4:30 pm. These talented country artists are just the beginning of another high quality concert lineup that Wild Adventures is known for in South Georgia and North Florida. All concerts are free with admission for those who wish to bring in lawn chairs, with reserve seats available for an additional charge.
Guests will also notice new trees and landscaping, along with a new look in Bugsville, making the park even more inviting and comfortable. Further improvements include upgraded menus and food quality in the restaurants and fun, new items in the gift shops.
Want more? The fun is just beginning at Wild Adventures. Guests can expect more all-star concerts including Sugarland, Lynyrd Skynyrd , Reba McEntire, ZZ Top, MercyMe, and Aly & AJ, a new ride, “The Rattler,” opening March 22, and an all-new Kidzpalooza festival featuring even more animals debuting in late spring.
All the new adventures can be experienced with the purchase of the Passport 2008 or Gold Passport.
