Young "mermaids" invited to flit, fly and float as the Fairy Tale Tea goes "Under the Sea"
15thAnnual Tradition to Benefit Children's Healthcare of Atlanta

ATLANTA (February 6, 2008) ) – Fairy Tale Tea Friends, one of more than 33 Community Friends volunteer groups of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, presents its 15th annual Fairy Tale Tea on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008 at the Georgia Aquarium's Oceans Ballroom. All proceeds from the mother/daughter tea and fashion show will benefit Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, one of the nation's leading not-for-profit pediatric health care systems.

The "Under the Sea"-themed Tea, held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., offers the chance for young mermaids to "dive" for treasures, make "sea-worthy" accessories and meet "real" mermaids and sea princesses. Following the activities, the little mermaids and their "mer-moms" will enjoy a social tea and a children's fashion show presented by Dillards. Guests diving "under the sea" will also have the opportunity to win fabulous prizes, including a custom castle playhouse designed by Harrison Design Associates and built in your own backyard by Lewis Reeves Residential, a 4-night stay at the Westin Aruba Resort and a beautiful diamond bracelet for mom. The event will also include very special mermaids in attendance, donated by the Ballet Company. Attendees are encouraged to dress in their favorite mermaid, fairy-tale or Sunday best.

"Little girls love coming to the Fairy Tale Tea – they enjoy creating magical arts and crafts, delight in the fashion show, fill their tummies with delicious treats and spend time with their friends and family," said Ginny Nickles, Event Co-Chair. "This is truly a special event that benefits an extraordinary organization in Atlanta," added Fran Whittle, Event Co-Chair. All proceeds from the Fairy Tale Tea will contribute to Friends funding areas including Neurosciences, the Friends Research Fund, Children's School Health Program, the Aflac Cancer Center Endowment, Big Apple Circus Clown Care™ Unit, Patient and Family Support and Lifepak 12 defibrillator/ monitor and the Propaq vital signs monitor.

Limited tickets are available for $70 each. For seating and event information, please visit www.choa.or g or call 404-785-7316. *Photos
