Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Accountancy at its August 27 Meeting

Macon, Ga. (August 28, 2008) — The Georgia State Board of Accountancy held its monthly meeting on Wednesday, August 27, 2008.

   The Board voted to accept the following public consent orders:

Kenneth Paul Breaux, Duluth: Order of Licensure. 
Eric Kevin McGlothen d/b/a Brooken & McGlothen, LLC, Atlanta: Fined $1,000 and issued a probationary license for two years. Mr. McGlothen, a licensed CPA practitioner, did not hold a license for a CPA firm and provided services which the Board only allows a firm to provide. 

   The Georgia State Board of Accountancy will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Board in Macon.
