Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Used Motor Vehicle Parts Dealers at its April 3 Meeting

Macon, Ga. (April 15, 2008) — The Georgia State Board of Used Motor Vehicle Parts Dealers held its monthly meeting on Thursday, April 3, 2008.

   The Board voted to adopt a policy to accept all voluntary cease and desist orders upon receipt and authorize the chairperson or his or her designee to execute the Order and to authorize that the orders be docketed and served. It is the intent of the Board that the orders will be in effect upon docketing. The Board will ratify the docketed cease and desist orders at its next meeting and include a list of the approved orders in the board minutes.

   The Board voted to accept voluntary cease and desist orders on the following individuals for unlicensed practice:

     Ty Hubbard d/b/a Firehouse 66, Townsend
     Eddie Barzegar d/b/a Columbus Truck and SUV Parts,Columbus               
     Alexander Harvey d/b/a A & W Automotive, Columbus 
     Walter Carter d/b/a  Carter's Towing and Salvage, Columbus 
     Calvin Turner d/b/a Turner's Garage and Auto Parts, Columbus

   The Georgia State Board of Registration for Used Motor Vehicle Parts Dealers will hold its next meeting on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards in Macon.
