County Seat Players set to perform The Philadelphia Story in the
Discovery Point Studio at Aurora Theatre
Lawrenceville, Ga., (September 18, 2007) – With over fourteen years under their belt, County Seat Players have performed at a variety of venues including high schools, churches and restaurants. County Seat Players prides itself on bringing the entertaining art of live theatre to all locals in the community. And seeing how beloved the Aurora Theatre has been over the past years, we are nothing less than thrilled at the opportunity to perform at Aurora’s very own Discovery Point Studio in their new home in Lawrenceville. “Being on the square in historic downtown Lawrenceville, the county seat, and in the spectacular Aurora Theatre will be a treat for actors and audience alike,” said Bob Seelig, County Seat Players Board Member and director of The Philadelphia Story.
Philip Barry’s 1939 hit play The Philadelphia Story is best known by audiences as the 1940 Oscar-winning comedy of the silver screen with the all-star cast of Katherine Hepburn, Cary Grant and James Stewart. The Philadelphia Story is the perfect choice for County Seat Players first production at the Discovery Point Studio because of the timeless charm of the characters and the pure pleasure of the verbal wit. In addition to a sparkling evening of entertainment, County Seat Players patrons can enjoy theater night dinner specials at The Flying Saucer Café conveniently located on the square in Lawrenceville.
