Isakson Statement on Assassination of Former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto

WASHINGTON (December 27, 2007) – U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., today released the following statement regarding the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. Isakson is a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.

   “The assassination of Benazir Bhutto is a tragedy and reminds us of the dangers in a world threatened by terrorism. I join President Bush in his call for those who are guilty of this terrible crime to be brought to justice as swiftly as possible.”
