Several pillow bags of raisin nut mix
and Healthy California mix are recalled
for sulfites not listed on label

ATLANTA, GA (April 6, 2007) - Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin confirms today that several packages of raisin nut mix and Healthy California mix, sold nationally, are being recalled due to sulfites -- a preservative -- not listed on the label.
Energy Club, Inc., Pacoima, CA, is recalling their Healthy California Mix, packaged in 4 ounce (UPC#01952) and 7 ounce (UPC#21952) pillow bags with header labels, and Raisin Nut Mix, packaged in 3 ounce (UPC#00964) and 7.25 ounce (UPC#01964) pillow bags with header labels.

The products are sold nationwide primarily at various convenience stores.

The recalled snacks have the potential to contain sulfur dioxide, a food preservative used in many brands of dried fruit products. Consumers who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to sulfites run the risk of serious or life threatening allergic reaction.

Georgians who have purchased these packaged treats should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. They may also contact Energy Club, Inc. at 1-800-688-6887.
