on Halloween Images
ATLANTA, GA (September 14, 2006) - Halloween
typically brings to mind images of creepy-crawly
bugs, black bats and rattling bones. But this
Halloween, Fernbank Museum visitors can discover the
reality of how bugs, bats and bones all play an
invaluable role in our world. Learn fascinating
facts about the holiday’s most recognizable icons
from Museum educators, biologists and animal experts
at Fernbank Museum’s Bugs, Bats and Bones Day on
Saturday, October 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Kids and families are invited to wear
their costumes as they enjoy a variety of
Halloween-themed hands-on activities, including live
insect encounters, a craft activity, scavenger hunt
and more!

*The scavenger hunt is designed to help guide visitors through the gallery and as an activity for families to complete together. No prizes will be awarded.
Fernbank Museum of Natural History is located at 767 Clifton Road NE in Atlanta. Special activities run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and are included with Museum admission. Admission is $12 for adults, $11 for students and seniors, $10 for children ages 12 and under, and free for members. For tickets, call 404.929.6400.
