Ovarian Cancer Institute Received $25,000
ATLANTA, GA (November 11, 2006) - The Ovarian Cycle, an organization dedicated to helping to find an early detection test for ovarian cancer by raising money for organizations with the same mission, recently presented a $25,000 check to the Ovarian Cancer Institute during a special ceremony at the Parker Petit Institute for Bioengineering and Bioscience Building at Georgia Tech. An oversized check was presented to Benedict B. Benigno, M.D., founder and CEO of the Ovarian Cancer Institute, by Bethany Diamond, Founder of Ovarian Cycle, to help further pioneering research at the Ovarian Cancer Institute focused on discovering an early detection tool for the disease that claims the lives of more that 13,000 women in the U.S. each year.
