Are you getting ready for spring crappie fishing?

By Reggie Weaver

Lake Nottely, (Jan. 19) - Approximately 250 Christmas trees were recently added to existing fish attractor coves on Lake Nottely. A work crew of US Forest Service, Georgia Wildlife Resources Division, and Union County Correctional Center personnel anchored the trees last Thursday (January 12) as fishhabitat and fishing spots for Nottely anglers. The trees were
installed near Jacks Creek Boat Ramp and approximately 1 mile downstream from the Canal Lake boat ramp. The addition of fish habitat to the lake is an excellent way to recycle used Christmas trees donated by Union County residents.
