Fans find use for Dr. Seuss

You do not like green eggs and ham?/You’re 
really irked by Sam I Am?
This could change. It could, I say/On Read 
Across America Day.
On March 2, this is no ruse,/We hail the birth
of Dr. Seuss.
At every library in Gwinnett,/Fans will read
his books. You bet!
You don’t like Seuss with a mouse?/Then try
him, try him with Jim Kraus.
The warden will read at Lawrenceville./It
will, it will be such a thrill!
And you don’t like Seuss in a box?/Then try him, try
with TV’s FOX.
From Channel 5, as luck would have us/Hear 
a tale from Randy Travis
At Lilburn Branch, and if you wish,/Charles 
Bannister, our chief commish.
In Mountain Park’s cool neighborhood,/You 
can hear Doc Levengood.
The official doc for Georgia Force, /And the 
Broncos (Brookwood’s horse.)
Wayne Hill will read at Suwanee 
Branch,/Come see! Come hear! Don’t miss this chance!

Dr. Stephanie Grenier/Will be reading many-a
Story by this famous writer/At Suwanee. 
Please do sight her.
In Norcross, baseball’s really cool/And so’s 
this guy from Rockbridge School.
Head of Kids’ Club for the Braves,/Tim 
Casler’s sure to bring in raves.
Volunteers the world does hallow,/ And this 
includes Pat Garofalo.
All year long she gives her time/And 
Thursday she will read in rhyme.
Centerville is where to be /For Rev. Stewart 
of NAACP. 

And Delta pilot, first name Terry,/Last name 
Raymond will make you merry. 
At Peachtree Corners, mark the date/To hear 
Gwinnett Judge Laura Tate.
The Teen Advisory Board does talk/that 
Seuss’s stories really rock.
Lest you think there are some dull uns’/ Come! 
Come listen to Brittney Mullins! 
Still not fond of Dr. Seuss?/Would not like 
him with a moose? 
Not with a goat or with a llama?/How about 
a little drama?
Lionheart Theater has a treat/At Mountain 
Park that can’t be beat.
Sean Casey and his son named Sam/Will act 
on stage Green Eggs and Ham. 
Gladiators, fire fighters,/Politicians, 
published writers, 
Draw from their creative juices/To make next 
Thursday Dr. Seuss’s
Biggest birthday party yet./Come celebrate!
