Women’s Organization Exhibiting at the 2005 Atlanta Home Show to Raise Funds for Pets Left Homeless by Hurricane Katrina
WEHA is a new organization dedicated to raising funds for programs that benefit homeless animals

Atlanta, Georgia (Sep. 21) - Women Entrepreneurs Helping Animals – WEHA – is a newly formed organization of Atlanta’s top pet-related women business owners who’ve come together for a great cause. Fundraising efforts are underway to help alleviate the burden placed on many local grassroots organizations that help to feed and shelter this areas population of homeless and unwanted dogs and cats. These women have pledged to donate a percentage of sales revenue to no-kill shelters and other animal rescue groups.

The group, with approximately two dozen members and growing, meets
bi-monthly to discuss the many issues facing our areas homeless animals.
“The group is an excellent way for women to network with others in the same industry,” says Founder and President, Julia Harris. To promote the group and kick-start the fundraising efforts, the group will participate in its first major event this Fall. Visit the ladies at the 2005 Atlanta Home Show, booth #427, held at the Cobb Galleria Center. The show dates are September
29 – October 2, 2005.

The group’s members will be exhibiting goods and services from their
businesses. The booth will cater to local pet owners with such products as
uniquely designed reversible coats for dogs, gourmet pet food and treats,
pet health supplements, pet-sitting services and more. “We will have samples and free gifts for the first 100 visitors to our booth,” says Kimberly Scrocco, owner of PetGourmet Express (www.petgourmetexpress.com), a local pet food home delivery service specializing in holistic pet products.
