Critical Care Nurses hosting cardiac Symposium
GAINESVILLE, GA (Sep. 12) - The Northeast Georgia Chapter of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) is hosting a cardiac symposium, "Tracking An Acute Myocardial Infarction: Diagnosis to Discharge", on Thursday, October 20, 2005. It will be held in Walters Auditorium at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia. This daylong symposium, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., will offer 6.0 continuing education credits and there will be door prizes. Fees are as follows: AACN members $40. Non-members $50. Students (w/ID) $25.
Featured topics include: Presentation in the Primary Care Setting, Diagnosis, Cardiac Interventions, Drug Therapy, and Lifestyle Modifications. Speakers include: Dr. Antonio Rios, Dr. Mark Leimbach, Dr. Martin Siegfried, Dr. Jeffrey Marshall, Dr. Leslie Roebuck, and Susan Irick ACNP. Several well-known vendors will also be in attendance.
The Northeast Georgia Chapter is not related to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Its membership area includes: Habersham, Rabun, Stephens, Union, Athens, Fannin, etc. in addition to Hall. It is a nonprofit organization of Critical Care Nurses with the goal of improving the health of patients throughout the Northeast Georgia region.
