Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl - Bowl Week Events - This December 26 to December 31 you can be a part of the Biggest Annual Sporting Event in Atlanta! The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl is much more than a game. With more than 20 events, Bowl Week is packed with activities and excitement. This is your opportunity to be a part of the Bowl experience! Volunteer for these great events: Parade; FanFest presented by Coca-Cola; MVP Tailgate Party; and various bowl luncheons and dinners. Georgia's Official Transportation History Museum, The Southeastern Railway Museum is dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and operation of historically significant transportation equipment, to the collection and display of transportation publications and memorabilia, and to the dissemination of past and present transportation information. We need your time and help.
The Southeastern Railway Museum is an all-volunteer operated transportation history museum with over 80 rail road cars, buses, people movers and much more on display and a large climate controlled exhibit hall for display of transportation history artifacts. We are open 10-5 every Saturday except

Tiny Stitches is an all volunteer public charity that makes layettes
and distributes them to needy newborns in north Georgia. We hold
monthly business meetings the first Monday of each month at the Duluth

On-Going Volunteer Opportunity. Awesome Opportunity for Drivers!! Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference? Do you want to see results immediately? Do a few generous tips for saving lives seem good? When you become a Team Driver for the
National Designated Drivers Association, Atlanta Chapter, all of these are a reality.
Our public service is provided to all businesses that serve alcohol, as well as other profit and non-profit organizations. As the need for our transportation services have increased, our need for Volunteer Team Drivers have as well. Each Volunteer Team Driver works in a team of two with one driver driving the impaired individual home in their car, while the other team driver follows in a "chase" car. For the safety and security of our Volunteer Team Drivers, 2-way radios are provided.
Our service is provided at "NO" cost to the impaired individuals. Although our services are free to the public, the Volunteer Team Driver usually receive tips. The Volunteer Team Drivers may keep their tips or donate them back to the National Designated Drivers Association, Atlanta Chapter. It's a win-win situation. Volunteer opportunities are available Friday and Saturday from 10 PM until 4:00 AM. We are missing one component, YOU!

Red Cross Seeks Volunteers - The Gwinnett Red Cross in Lawrenceville is seeking adults to
volunteer in many areas. Daytime volunteers are needed immediately to work
in the office and to teach youth classes. Other volunteers are needed on
evenings and weekends to teach babysitting and HIV/AIDS courses. If you are

to help staff a "Warm Line" - a 24-hour phone line that
provides confidential resources, referrals and support to adoptive

risk in metro Atlanta. Ongoing projects include clothing drives

Senior Citizen Services of Metropolitan Atlanta has volunteer
opportunities including Meals on Wheels deliveries, adult day care,
senior companions and foster grandparents. Foster grandparents must be
at least 60; they serve abused or neglected children, troubled teens
and young mothers, helping with tutoring and developing self-esteem.

The Salvation Army seeks volunteers in the areas of disaster
relief, tutoring children, and serving the homeless, senior citizens and
disabled. There are opportunities to teach English as a Second Language,
provide computer training for adults, and offer after-school care at the
community centers and Boys & Girls Clubs. Throughout the year, help
is needed with special programs such as food and clothing collections.
During the Christmas season, the Salvation Army needs volunteer bell
ringers and people to distribute gifts to children and senior citizens
and to serve holiday meals on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Volunteers of

The Foundation for Hospital Art has opportunities for people to
color in canvases painted by the foundation's founder, John Feight. The
paintings are of nature and aquatic scenes, with animals, fish, giant
butterflies, jungles, etc. No art experience is required. This summer,
Feight needs volunteers to touch-up paintings in his Roswell studio.
Groups are welcome. About 25 volunteers can be accommodated at a time.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays-Fridays and evenings by appointment.
Reservations are essential. During the year, there are ongoing
opportunities to paint with homeless men from the Atlanta Union Mission
on Saturday mornings in Atlanta dn Monday evenings in Athens. there are
also large paintfests on location at various times throughout the year.

professional apparel to assist economically disadvantaged women with
their jobs or job interviews. Volunteer opportunities include clothing

which are than sold at affordable prices to responsible low-income
families. Every Saturday, volunteers are needed to help build houses

St. Vincent de Paul Society provides emergency assistance for people
facing a hardship or crisis, covering 33 counties in metro Atlanta and
North Georgia. Volunteer opportunities include direct aid visitations;
help at the nine thrift stores and the mobile thrift store; sorting the
children's clothes for Clothes Line project; administrative assistance;
tutors and child care for clients attending life skill and basic
computer classes; and performing household chores for elderly or

The Smoking Needle, also known as Ellie's Angels, uses
volunteers to make blankets and afghans to comfort people in the final
stages of their lives. Drivers are needed to deliver yarn and blankets
