Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

A birthday bash for Dr. Seuss!/Local fans are on the loose.
Reading Seuss around Gwinnett/ Marks his biggest birthday yet.
Read Across America is the theme./ As awesome as this point may seem
In every library in the USA /Green egg groupies read Seuss today.
Oh, the places you can go/To get in on this awesome show.
Volunteers at every branch/On every hour; Don't miss your chance.
Settle back a little while/And hear of Grinches from a Seussophile.
Mountain Park hears David Chandley/From WSB who reads most handily.
Also Michael Levengood/And all those in his neighborhood
Know he's very good at leading/But now can hear him shine at reading.
With Five Forks' Katherine Sherrington,/You'll see a lot of caring done.
Is it taxing her good time?/No way! It's fun to read in rhyme.
Chief Magistrate Warren Davis/At Peachtree Corners from the blahs does save us.
And The Weekly's own Gay Shook/Whose very name does rhyme with book
And who with books is so in tune/Reads Seuss there this afternoon.
At Lawrenceville we hear the voice/Of school board member Carol Boyce.
And from the county, Derrick Skinner/Shows with Seuss he is a winner.
At Collins Hill, who's been deployed?/Chief Deputy policeman, Michael Boyd.
At Buford, come sit in a circle/To hear Sugar Hill Mayor Gary Pirkle.
Also Commissioner Phillip Beard/With Sneech or Grinch keeps us cheered.
Buford High School's Sheddick Diggs/Scores with one of his own gigs.
Can he tackle Thing One? Thing Two?/Come and see what he can do!
Hopewell Baptist's Doreene Perry/At Norcross Branch makes us merry.
Marcy Williams from WSB/Shares her voice at Su-wan-ee.
Where town Police Chief Michael Jones/Will read some Seuss with gleeful tones.
