All proceeds will benefit Chayil, Inc. a non-profit organization that supports battered women after they have left a shelter and need additional support. Chayil provides effective intervention against continuing domestic violence. The organization connects concerned people with abused women. They offer the vital skills, tools and life-giving support that go far beyond traditional services – that bring women back in touch with their inner strength. Currently in Metro-Atlanta there is a virtual absence of multifaceted services for women who are transitioning from domestic violence shelters to an independent lifestyle. It is estimated that battered women leave their abuser seven times before they are either murdered or permanently able to escape. Together, with Sipping Tea & Doing Business, Chayil, Inc. will gain funds to operate this extremely important organization.
“We are so thankful that Sipping Tea and Doing Business has joined with us for another year of changing the lives of women in Atlanta who are suffering from the vicious cycle of abuse and domestic violence,” said Heidi Day, founder and Executive Director of Chayil, Incorporated. “This event is the perfect bridge between getting and giving, everyone will have the opportunity to inspire and get inspired while providing vital support to our organization.”
