Harrison resigns CID Board seeks elected office 

SNELLVILLE, GA (Feb. 18) - Dwight Harrison, Hwy 78 CID Board Member, announced his resignation from the Board effective at the conclusion of the February 18 meeting. Mr. Harrison, owner of Dwight Harrison Volkswagen on Hwy 78, informed the Board that he had recently purchased a home in Snellville and would seek elected office as the Gwinnett County District 3 County Commissioner.

   Harrison is a founding member of the Highway 78 Community Improvement District and pledged to remain involved and supportive of the efforts to improve transportation and revitalization within the district. 

   Dwight Harrison, 58, is a long-time Gwinnett resident, married for 40 years with one son. He is a former member of the Gwinnett County Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Transit Advisory Board. He has owned and operated Dwight Harrison Volkswagen for the past 16 years. Several generations of Harrison's have resided in Gwinnett County District 3 and his father is the former pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Snellville.
