Pastors in Duluth and Norcross Unite to Promote Marriage

DULUTH, GA- On Thursday, November 6th, Georgia Family Council will be hosting a gathering for all Duluth and Norcross pastors.
This event will be held Thursday, November 6, 9:00 - 11:00 a. m, at Winfield Hall
All guests will receive a free breakfast provided by At Your Service Café..
This event is to introduce pastors to a new program called MarriageNet, a program that will unite the churches in Duluth and Norcross for the purpose of strengthening marriages, supporting families and improving community health. MarriageNet will equip pastors with the resources needed to strengthen their church's marriage ministry, and help reduce the divorce rate in their community. This type of program has been successful in several other cities, reducing the divorce rate by as much as 50%.
Randy Hicks, president of Georgia Family Council states that "the vast majority of Americans want to marry and 81% of Americans believe that marriage is for life. If that's true, and because the health of one's marriage often determines personal and community health, we should as a society, do everything we can to increase the likelihood of marital success. It's clear that it's not a lack of belief in marriage that undermines our marital unions- it's our lack of skills to deal with modern marital challenges".
We encourage all pastors to attend this event and learn more about this exciting opportunity! A reservation must be made by November 1st. To make a reservation, or for more information, please call Laurie Boltin at 1-800-FAMILY-1 or e-mail her at laurie@gafam.org .
